What does "Pu Chi" mean"?.

I'm wondering what the expression "pu chi" (can) mean. We chose it as our band name, because our drummer said he read somewhere that it means "pure energy".
If it does, I'm happy, but I've tried several on-line dictionaries and didn't find any translation that said "pure energy". Since the chinese language is pretty hard for a total outsider to understand and a lot of chinese words and expressions seem to have several meanings, I'm completely lost.
I wouldn't want to look like an idiot to the entire chinese world because of something like a band name, so if you can help me out I'd be really grateful!
Thanx a lot.
Emile

"Chi" (formally spelled "Qi" in Hanyu Pinyin) means energy. The Chinese believe there's energy in everything, including both animals and planets. Qi is the basis of both Feng Shui and Chinese medicine.
