Ray is my English name.My chinese name is chen ren.I was born in China ,Anhui province,also grew up there.6 years ago,I come to Shanghai to study in university.I am 24 years old and now following my master degree in Shanghai Maritime Universtiy.

In order to communicating more easily,English name is easy for native English speaker to read and remember.When I speak chinese ,I will use my chinese name.Just for convenience.Many native English speakers have their own chinese name after they lean chinese

I just find it very amusing how the KK uses Pin Yin to reply Ray. Sometimes you combine individual words to form short phrases sometimes you don't. I try to find any consistency with no success.

Seems like your pin yin and han zi shui ping is not high either.

And to Ray, a sincere foreign English speaker will never mind to attempt to pronounce your Chinese name. I am curretnly pursuing my studies in Uk and all my close white friends always call me in my Hokkein (Min3 Nan2) name, Eng Wai.
