I don't have any hokkien dictionary.Can any help for the correct hokkien sound for thse 9 words.

xiongzhao(bra) 胸罩: these words are pronounced as 'hing1 ta3' but I have never heard people say it this way, we usually just say 內衫 'lai7 sa*1'. [* indicates nasal sound]

jimo(lonely) 寂寞: 'cip8 bok8' -> more formal, can also 孤單 'ko1 tua*1'.

wuliao(silly) 無聊: 'bou5 liau5' -> original meaning "boring", means "silly" for certain context.

manyuan(complain) 埋怨: depends on context, can be 投 'tau5' or 嫌 'hiam5'.

xuwei(hypocrite) 虛偽: 'hy1 ui2' ['hy'/'hu'/'hi' -> dialect variations]

moshengren(stranger) 陌生人: 生分人 'si*1 hun7 lang5'.

chat like cantonese kengkai: 開講 'khai1 kang2'

muscle(jicau) in our body ??: is it 肌肉 ji1rou4 in Mandarin? Literary reading is 'ki1 jiok8'. 'ki1' means muscular flesh -> quite formal?

guafu(widow) 寡婦: 'kua*2 hu7'.

You're welcome. 誇張 kua1zhang1 can be 謗 pong3 or 譀 ham3, depends on context.

There are other ways of expressing "kua chang" :
1. "pong hong" -- "pong" as explained by Niuc, and "hong" is "wind";
2. "pun hong kiu" -- "blow a balloon".
3. "hong ku" (风车) -- "wind mill".
4. "chhia tua phao" (车大炮) -- "bring out a cannon"; or simply as "tua phao". The person doing it is called a "tua pao sian" (大炮仙).
5. "pun goe gui" -- "blow the chicken stomach" ("pun ge gui" in Taiwanese).

may i know that word-gan chiew(dating)is a noun or a verb.Can it be used after married?The word language-yu yan-Is that in hokkien gu or hu for yu? Thanks.

The word 'khan1 chiu2' 牽手 as a noun means lover [boy/girl friend] or spouse [husband/wife] (->connotative meaning). As a verb, it means to hold hands (->literal meaning). But I have never heard the word being used as 'dating' (->activity noun/verb).

The word 語言 (Mdr: yu3yan2) is 'gy2 gian5' in Hokkien. 語 (Mdr: yu3) is 'gy2' -> can be read as 'gi2', 'gu2', 'gir2' (dialects variation).

Qing dynasty: 清朝 'ching1 tiau5'.
Song dynasty: 宋朝 'song3 tiau5'.

稀罕 (Mdr: xi1han3) = 'hi1 han2' -> rare
惜 (Mdr: xi1) = 'siou4' -> to cherish

未必 (Mdr: wei4bi4) = 無定着 'bou5 tia*7 tiou8'

Surname Yap is 葉 (leaf), literary reading 'iap8' (e.g. surname), colloquial reading 'hiou8'/'ia8'.
'giap8' & 'sy7 giap8' = 業 & 事業
