I am a teacher who has many Chinese speaking students. I am in need of assistance translating a letter that needs to go out to parents. If anyone can help please do so ASAP. Thank you!!!! The following is the letter.
Dear parent,
I have sent you a letter introducing myself and telling you about what I do with your child/children. As you already know, I assist your student(s) with learning English. I understand that some of you might not speak English very well either, and may be in need of assistance or help.
I have taken an interest in helping not only my students, but also their parents and in some cases, their extended families, in learning the English language. I understand that sometimes it can be difficult to do many things that you would like to do simply because you are not sure of how to say something in English or because when you do, you might not be easily understood. I would like to help you.
Enclosed I have provided some information for you on where you can go to get FREE help with your English skills. There are classes in the mornings, and in the evenings that will fit almost any ones schedule. You DO NOT have to go to every class. You DO NOT have to sign up for the classes. You DO NOT have to pay for the classes. During the night classes, child care is provided for FREE. Anyone over the age of 16 is able to take these classes.
In these classes you will learn basic English conversation (speaking skills), how to read and write in English, vocabulary (words) for daily living, and also about United States Citizenship and History that will prepare you if you would like to become a U.S. citizen.
Please see the enclosed flyer for information and the phone number to call if you have any questions. I feel that these classes would be a great help to you and your family, and also to your children. If you can learn English and are able to better communicate in the English language, you will be a great help in your child’s English abilities. Together, you and your child(ren) can learn, practice, and speak English more easily. Please consider going to these classes whenever it is convenient for you.
If you have any questions, please call the number on the flyer. I hope this information is helpful. Also, please feel free to pass this information onto your friends that may also want to have better English skills.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bobbie Jo Hayes
