It should be Henan (He+Nan), not Hennan.

I've heard that Mandarin is called 'bei fang fang hua' (northern dialect). So Henan is already north? And how about some languages similar to Hakka found there?

You've probably already gone to China and returned three times by the time I found this post and responded, but if you haven't already discovered, Henan province, while probably housing several dialects as one goes to rural areas, has Mandarin as its prominent dialect - its used in schools - one of my best friends and her two children speak Mandarin not far removed from the Dongbei accent of the northeast part of the country - some slight relaxation of certain tones, maybe less pointed than Shanghai and to a greater degree Beijing in terms of "shi" (and other tones), but most definitely Mandarin - she reports to me that Zhengzhou and Kaifeng uses Mandarin - that accounts for a bit population in Henan.
