What, if any, system does hong kong use to romanize cantonese? It seems like most Hong Kong signs use the same word roman spelling for the same character but is it formalized? It's not wade-giles since I don't see any of the "'" or spaces that is common in WG.
Anyone know?
What is the system in Hong Kong?
Re: What is the system in Hong Kong?
I think commonly used romanization is Jyut Pin, but I'm not 100% sure. Sometimes, people just romanize the way they think it sounds

Chinese U. uses Yale system of Romanization. It is not prefect but perhaps the best of all at this point.
