English borrow words

Hi

In Hokkien, I've heard words used that are clearly from English such as:

ba2 sy2 chia7 = bus (chia would be original hokkien)
ai7 si7 ke7 len4 = icecream

Are these proper Hokkien? If they aren't, what are the proper words?

Also, is le2 seng3 for license a borrowed word?

sng ko for ice cream.bus just call it kong cia.

license is 准字 cun2-ji7.

The pronunciation of cun2 is like zhun3 [to be stricter: zun3] in Mandarin, with different tone.

c -> cau2 "to run"
ch -> chau2 "grass"
In original POJ they are chau2 and chhau2 respectively, but I find it unnecessary to use ch and chh if we can use c and ch.
