the relation between Peng Shan (蓬山) and Long Xi (龍溪)

Post by elmer »

Hello,

The tomb of a Peranakan-ancestor of mine, situated in Jombang, East-Java is headed with the name 蓬山 (Peng Shan in Pinyin), which is supposed to be the place of origin of this ancestor.

However, the tomb of his son is headed by the name 龍溪 (Long Xi in Pinyin). As the vast majority of the Peranakan on Java were from Fujian, Long Xi may refer to the region of Zhangzhou near Xiamen.

But what could the relation be between Peng Shan and Long Xi?

regards,
Elmer
