My sister-in-law is in the process of adopting a beautiful little girl from China. Her given name is Wu Yin Yang. Can anyone inform us if there is any meaning or signifacance to her name as we would like to preserve as much of her Chinese heritage as possible. She is from the Hubei Province if this helps? We look forward to your response and the arrival of our newest family member!

Congratulations first! however, you just give me the pinyin without accents (there are 4 in chinese) so it is difficult to identify the meaning of each word/character. anyway, i'll list the most posible meaning for reference:
wu(surname) --> 武(martial); 吴( province of Jiang(river)su(Perilla frutescens) / name of Southern China states at different historical periods); 伍(squad of five soldiers)
*note: the surname is usually meaningless, it just have the meaning when going with other words.
yin (midle name) --> 银(silver);音(sound, melody)
yang (first name) --> 杨(poplar),阳(sun),洋(ocean),旸(sunshine),玚(name of a jade),鸯(Aix galericulata)
the above are just for reference. Maybe all of them are not her name. If you want to know the exact meaning of the name, please ask people who raise that child to write down her name, then, take picture of the writing and post it online, every one will explain it to you. Remember: ask them to write it carefully, clearly and readably
