Hi,
I have Traditional Chinese Windows 98 and have installed some fonts that allow input of Cantonese vernacular characters (HKSCS). However, I can't seem to input them. I read that Cangjie/Changjei is the best input method for Cantonese, but some of the CJ codes on CCDICT don't work for me. I can't even input "basic" Cantonese words like "je2" (thing) and "di1" (some). Any suggestions?

I installed fonts that came compressed with some installation software, which I presume updated the Cangjie tables because some HKSCS words, like "tam5" <IMG SRC="http://www.chineselanguage.org/cgi-bin/char.cgi?6C39"> I CAN input. When I try to input "je2" and "di1", however, the inputted code (in Microsoft Word) turns red as if there has been an error and the code doesn't exist. I tried using both the Cangjie IME supplied in windows as well as the MS Cangjie IME. Both don't work for some reason.
I also tried using my handwriting recognition software (Gotop Fineart Gogopen) to input the cantonese; it works, but only if I use Mingti or Xinmingti fonts - the other fonts seem to have the Cantonese characters coded differently so I get the wrong characters with them.
So, in your opinion, I should try re-updating the tables using the package at http://www.info.gov.hk/digital21/chi/hkscs/?
