Long long ago, an old sheep and her four children brought some paddy to Guangzhou.Then the people of here could plant and eat the rice.


Cantonese carved a statue to thank and commemorate them. You can see it in Yuexiu Park now.
Guangzhou is called " 穗" ,it means "spic", it points to the paddy's spic.
