For those hing hua people here and wants to know the history of the dialect.
Hing Hua dialect was originally a quanzhou dialect. In the year 979 AD, Song dynasty, it splitted from Quanzhou county and developed separately. As it is a neighbour to Fuzhou, it absorbed several MinDong characteristics.

If we removed the MinDong influences, the differences between Hing Hua and Quanzhou is only as great as Teochiu and Quanzhou.
