In Hk you can buy this sweet ball ( I think they have some kind of sesame souce in it ) on the street and
you get it also for dim sum.
It tastes great !
Most Chinese people I ask have no clue how this is
called in Cantonese.
But in HK a seller told it is called sth. like CHIN DOI.
Is this written correctly ?
does anybody know the tones ?
do the words have some meaning ?

In Hawaii, we grew up calling in jin dui and there was the type with "black sugar" dau sah and the one with coconut and pork haam (salty) jin dui. I'm not sure about the tones.

it pronounced as "jin deui"(in yale romanization)or "dzin1 doey1".
