Re: The Best Chinese-English Dictionary
Hi Kobo-Daishi,
The dicitonary is all in simplified characters, but I find the english translations of the Chinese succinct, current and clear, with a total number of strokes index which I like, and ordering of characters in the dictionary according to hanyu pinyin. A list of all characters in the dictionary is given after their HYPY reading, and an illustrated section of engraving in the back (for instance parts of the human anatomy, birds, fish etc)
My website is currently around 14 Megabytes. I have one megabyte left, and when I get to that limit, I think I shall stop. I've slowed down writing stuff over the last year and a half, because married life is a lot more hectic
I have two versions, one which I update more frequently (the freeserve account), and a less well kept one which is on the geocities server.

Re: The Best Chinese-English Dictionary
i think they spell out the traditional form in brackets if a word does have one. but my memory might fail me.
Re: The Best Chinese-English Dictionary
Dear Dylan,
Why don't you take the remaining megabyte and expand your rhyme book pages.
You should take all the characters from the encoding that has the most characters (Unicode? GB 2312?) and put the fanqie spelling for each and every character that is included in the rhyme book that you have.
It should have the character for the initial sound and the character for the rhyme and also tone according to the rhyme book.
