If you use a Win2000 or later system, your BIG5 and Unicode should already include the characters needed to write Cantonese. All you need is an IME for input.

I remember when using Win98 I had downloaded the font extension from the internet. I think I still have the installation files resident in one of the folders on my computer, if you want it, write to me.

Unfortunately at the time, I had already made some font extensions of my own in some unused areas, and when I installed the Cantonese, it used the exact same area of the font mapping and wiped out all the other work I had done.

Also, I recommend if you're doing multilingual computing, never use an English-only operating system. Foreign language versions of Windows always include an English version PLUS the foreign language version on the system. In addition, you'll have a lot of extra added (bilingual) benefits. With a Chinese language version, it also makes computing in double-byte languages like Japanese and Korean very easy as well, without needing so many extra installed parts that may not be compatible with each other.

No version of NJStar handles HKSCS, no matter what platform. As for
RichWin, I once used an older version which supported GCCS (an older
version of HKSCS) even on something as old as an English Win 95
platform.
